Chloe Hedley is a Surface Pattern and Textile Designer based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Her design’s have sold globally and include clients such as GAP (LA), Etro (IT), White Stuff (UK), Victoria Secret (NYC) and House of Fraser (UK). She prides herself on being a successful and versatile designer using a range of techniques and drawing styles to design for fashion and homeware markets.
She began her life in the beautiful countryside of County Durham, fulfilling her days creating, making and drawing. Her passion grew and in 2006 she enrolled on a BA (Hons) Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design course, at Leeds College of Art.
Chloe graduated from Leeds College of Art with a first class honours degree in 2009. Upon graduating she was offered the role of in-house Print Designer for Lewis and Lewis Design, London. This involved designing prints and co-ordinating sales appointments. After she felt she had gained enough experience she continued to work for Lewis and Lewis Design, on a freelance basis. In October 2012 Chloe accepted a full-time design position with UP Global Sourcing, Manchester, this is a world leading sourcing and design business for homeware products. This has opened up new pathways for Chloe’s professional career, enabling her to design for ceramics, luggage and bedding.
In 2014 Chloe was offered the role of Print Designer for high street fashion retailer Bon Marché, this involved designing a variety of all over and placement prints and being able to work at a fast pace in response to catwalk trends.
In 2015 Chloe decided to make the leap into full time self employment. She is now freelancing for Sam Morray Design and welcomes new contacts, commissions and freelance work, please feel free to get in touch!
