Take Part in Teesdale

We have seen at first hand the very real benefits of creative social prescribing – working with professional creative practitioners to deliver supported free sessions for a whole range of people living with loneliness, anxiety, depression or other mental health issues.

I’ve partnered up with Northern Heartlands on Take pART in Teesdale. A very exciting project to provide a series of workshops as part of a social prescribing initiative.

My sessions will challenge what people perceive to be ‘good drawing,’ while providing the well-being benefits of nature and art combined. I aim to encourage individual expression, ability, confidence and identity through the participants practice.

Session 1 will explore the basics of drawing with some fun mark-making and experimental drawing techniques, it will be focused on how we observe and make marks, a fun light hearted session with the aim to find your own style.

Themes will be person led and centred around home, how we look at our home, the natural environment and will lead to participants gaining confidence in their identity.
