Take Part in Teesdale

Session 3

Participants will continue to find to explore printmaking using the mark-making and drawing techniques they have learnt in previous sessions.

Themes will be person led and bring in items that are important to them and their identity.

I’ve partnered up with Northern Heartlands on Take pART in Teesdale. A very exciting project to provide a series of workshops as part of a social prescribing initiative.

My sessions will challenge what people perceive to be ‘good drawing,’ while providing the well-being benefits of nature and art combined. I aim to encourage individual expression, ability, confidence and identity through the participants practice.

We have seen at first hand the very real benefits of creative social prescribing – working with professional creative practitioners to deliver supported free sessions for a whole range of people living with loneliness, anxiety, depression or other mental health issues.
