Take Part in Teesdale

I’ve partnered up with Northern Heartlands on Take Part in Teesdale, a very exciting project to provide a series of workshops as part of a social prescribing initiative.

My sessions will challenge what people perceive to be ‘good drawing,’ while providing the well-being benefits of nature and art combined. I aim to encourage individual expression, ability, confidence and identity through the participants practice.

Session 4

Participants will explore colour theory and colour mixing to create a unique style in their own work.

They will incorporate all that they have learnt about mark-making, drawing and layering to plan their own final print collection.

Themes will be person led and will lead to participants gaining confidence in their ability, confidence and identity.

This work is funded by DCMS and Know your Neighbourhood funding.
We have seen at first hand the very real benefits of creative social prescribing – working with professional creative practitioners to deliver supported free sessions for a whole range of people living with loneliness, anxiety, depression or other mental health issues.
